ABOUT ME

My name is Marko Ali. I’m a 24-year-old mixed-race multidisciplinary artist, born in New York and raised in California. My practice spans across music, film, photography, and visual storytelling, shaped by a creative process that’s always been more instinct than structure. My background is layered and at times unconventional, but that range has become central to how I approach making work.

While music has been a consistent foundation in my life, my practice extends far beyond it. I’m deeply involved in every stage of my creative output—from directing and editing visual work to capturing and shaping the worlds around my projects. I’ve always moved with a camera in hand, drawn to documenting life as much as constructing it, which has naturally led me into film and visual direction alongside my sound work.

My approach is rooted in creative control and curiosity. I build across mediums, often blurring the line between artist and director, performer and observer. Whether through moving image, sound, or still visuals, my work is driven by a desire to create cohesive worlds rather than isolated pieces.

Recently, I also stepped into runway work for the first time—another extension of my interest in visual culture and expression. As for what’s next, I’m focused on continuing to expand the way I build and tell stories across mediums, without limiting myself to one form.
